Travel Tech Con - a few start-ups that caught our eye
The Travel Tech Con in San Fran was a real eye opener into new & innovative businesses.
Here are a few that are worth a deeper look at. Not all are fully operational however they clearly show how taking an alternative view on a current travel problem makes you realise we need to be open to change & disruption.
Shep - a booking tool for business travellers, HR and Finance Managers in Small-to-Medium enterprises that don't have a corporate travel agent.
Instead of forcing your team to book on clunky corporate travel tools, an open booking tool frees travellers up to book on their favourite travel sites. Shep puts easy-to-understand green boxes around results that are in-policy to guide the best booking behaviour.
Unboundly - this start-up was highly commended by the judges and focuses on personalising the travel experience. Currently in Beta testing I would strongly suggest you sign-up to be kept up to date on their progress.
Boni - Indoor navigation for the visually impaired. Most Venues are complicated for the visually impaired. This app provides the visually impaired with indoor exploring & steering capabilities by bringing together venue maps, radio signals, and unique navigation.
